Almost ready to pick; turning orange! This variety is called musquee de maroc

Here’s the description of Musquee de Maroc from http://www.rareseeds.com:

(C. moschata) 90 days. This variety was a big hit at our 2014 Heirloom Expo in Santa Rosa, California… taking first prize. The stunning, round to bell-shaped fruits are terra-cotta to buff-colored, and warted very attractively. You’ll want to use this one in centerpieces and displays before you consign it to the kitchen! A commercial variety in north Africa. (source)

Thanks for visiting! Happy fall!

Happy Autumn and Belated Birthday to the Spy. The guy is growing up! Nice job on the cake, Mom! And your sister is getting married – life is marching forward at such a pace.
I wonder if that camouflaged bug was a lacewing larva – they glue debris onto themselves to blend in and not get eaten. I once wrote a post about them: http://wp.me/p3O3z4-2X
Looking forward to seeing what the Halloween costumes are going to be. :)

I checked out the post and interestingly enough I responded to it back in 2013!!! Hahhaha! You’re not kidding about the passage of time! So I did a little googling and I think you are right it was a lacewing larva. Very cool! Thanks for the comments :) Happy Autumn to you too!!
