My condolences to Smoochie, it is hard to say goodbye, especially to a brother who was barely past midlife. I was struck by the coincidence that on that very same weekend, my niece was as well fighting for her life, also from liver complications (hospital borne septicemia from a bile duct procedure done the week prior). It was pretty scary, but she has pulled through. It reminds me that there is always the revolving door – some pass through and some return back for another go. Live life while you have the gift. I’m glad you got some family time enjoying the mountains – CO is such a beautiful state.

As usual a visit to Spy Garden is a visit to reality in pictures. I love your blog Ms Spy. You manage to capture so much in your images. Sorry about Smoochies brother. 55 is WAY too young but none of us know how long we have here and it’s a most timely reminder to live while we are here. Glad you ignored your inner third grader and went with the kids. You would have had to take SO many more nature images to make up for that quirky photogenic pair ;)

I don’t need to move to Colorado now. You just nailed it on one post. I can now officially tick it off my bucket list :)

Thanks for the compliments and kind words. My third grade self had it about half right. I would take the ranch, a horse named Dusky, some fish and birds but as pretty as Colorado is, I like Missouri ;)

I take it you are fine with the kids part? ;) Your third grade self probably hadn’t been to Missouri yet so you are excused ;)

It have to agree with Spy I love the country side. Colorado looks beautiful.I understand why he would like to live there someday. It is higher elevations than where I live in Sweden. You have a beautiful family. I think it was a great tribute to your brother in law, that your family celebrate life, love and family in mourning such a loss.

Please forward my heart felt condolensces to Smoochie on the passing of his brother. I am sooo sorry for your families loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for your kind words. I was briefly in Sweden (near the border) when I was young girl visiting family in Norway: your neck of the woods is also gorgeous!
