School’s Out! But summer at Forest School is just beginning!
Squirrely Garden, the garden at Baby’s school, is looking great…
Most of the planting is finished, the teachers (and students!) have been working hard! One more dirt delivery and a bit more planting and she’s good to grow!

The plots are numbered, to make “to do” lists easier to communicate. An important feature of a community garden!
As the Garden CEO, my job will be to take frequent garden walks and communicate necessary garden “to-do’s” so the kids/teachers/parents know what needs to be done! First on the list today was: plant seed potatoes!
Back at home in Spy Garden…
Hahaha
Nice school! The garden sounds so fun – the kids will love it. Are the potatoes going in trash barrels? (I love that idea. A real back-saver and no missed spuds to sprout in the spring.) Mr. Toad is looking fine. Hope he eats the snail before it gets to the lettuce. :-)
One of the parents actually made potato boxes, so they’ll be going in those! Yeah, I wish I did that in Spy Garden (next year for sure!) I RARELY see garden snails, so that was fun to spot! And I love toads, their faces have the best expressions! Thanks for commenting;)
Gorgeous school and fabulous garden. The kids are very lucky to have such a resource, but it sounds like they have worked hard and they deserve it. :o)
Thanks for commenting!
The school is just lovely! What a great environment it seems to be. It is good to see the school garden, too. Well done! Can’t wait to see the fruits of everyone’s labor! :-) Dana
Thanks ;)
