MAN I am late here! I just found a lovely violet syrup recipe on Punk Domestics website that would be fantastic for excess violet flowers (if you get enough of them) a gorgeous purple and apparently it tastes just like they smell. Violets are my favourite flower :)
Ooooo so glad you finally made it over here! I’ve missed your comments! I will check out the violet syrup recipe, thanks!
Still working on the rest of your posts, got waylaid with people making comments on my blog and answering them ;)
definitely violets! i am hoping to candy some this year.
Lovely pictures. Enjoyed every one of them. And, it WAS a glorious Easter. “A foretaste of the things to come”. :)
:) thanks
Definitely violets! Very cool frog you have in the garden – do you know what kind it is? I tried to look it up – my best guess was northern cricket frog. Inquiring minds need to know! Your redbuds are SO beautiful!
Thanks just wanted to be doubly sure about the violets! The redbuds around here are awesome! I believe they are edible as well. No idea what kind of frog…we have loads of frogs and toads in the garden! Ill try and ID them this year :)
How wonderful
Thanks ;)
