Entitled, “Blurry Sunset at Spy Garden” or “I need to break out the tripod for low-light slow exposure shots when the sunset colors are this good”
Spring in Spy Garden means lots of April showers: pounding, heavy rain, whipping winds, bright pink lightening and booming thunder. The rumble of a storm coming from the west reminds me of Jurassic Park.

The dogs dragged up another deer leg from the woods. Third one! I wonder if it is from the same deer?
And an early April salad dressing: A heaping spoonful of tahini, a splash of olive juice, a splash of white vinegar and olive oil, a spoonful of dijon mustard, a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice and some black pepper and a chopped clove of garlic. Mix it up with a fork. Tangy, tart, creamy, rich and complex: really delicious!
Yeah…love that blurry shot. Looks like you were slowly falling sideways as you stoically refused to save yourself in order to preserve “the image”…
In that “Foggy Valley” image you could swear that was a lake!
Hopefully you had some salad with that dressing…sounds good enough to drink on its own but just sayin’…
not falling, just shaking the camera haha. The valley IS a shallow lake after a heavy rain haha (though not in that particular shot). That dressing IS DELISH and IS good enough to eat on its own, as a dip, with salad, with ANYTHING!!! mmm
What a joy to go through your photos – you have GREEN grass and leaves budding out – so exciting to see. Foggy dawn – awesome. I think your sunset photo is very artistic!
Do you have coyotes? Maybe the deer legs are a hunter’s cast-offs. My neighbor throws his in the woods and my last dog used to bring them home, kinda icky.
Lastly, I saw on the weather that your state is having bad storms and tornados, everyone safe there, I hope?
We do have coyotes and hunters and LOADS of deer so it could be any combo haha. The tornados are pretty standard for this time of year here! So far we are all still in one piece! Yes it is great to watch the grass turning green!
Mmmm.. Lovely images and an unexpected yummy recipe. Thank you!
You’re welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Welcome spring!!!! Gardens are looking good.
Thanks! Fall is still my favorite but spring is a very close second!
