Maybe Pat Benatar was half-right. A garden battlefield…
While we worked we kept joking that it looked like there was quite a battle in the garden today!
After the smoke cleared…

We are slinking around beautiful autumn days. Nice and chilly but the sun is shining and its lovely to eat hot food all over again. Just a hop-step-and-jump till we light Brunhilda and the solitude of winter settles down on Serendipity Farm. No snow but the rain will lend a steady patina of hibernation to the garden till spring twitches at the doona all over again and the cycle is up and running for another year. I can’t wait for the doona to be honest! :)
Still pretty chilly here but definitely spring!
I think, for once, we are getting the same weather! It’s chilly here but gorgeous sunny days :)
Your about four weeks ahead of us, maybe not really that long but I think so, especially since we have a forecast for a foot of snow on Wednesday. Seeing your asparagus peeking through did my heart good!
Thanks! This is the third year since planting the asparagus from seed so we are looking forward to a “full” harvest this year!
Asparagus – lucky you! Your site is good practice for me to be patient!
Probably a few more weeks until we are actually harvesting (though of course I did take a taste of one;)! But yes, it is exciting to be actually eating things from the garden now (mint and some little volunteer lettuces too!)
Okay, rub it in! (practice, practice, practice!) ;-)
Well, you have more time to get seedlings started (which I am feeling a bit behind on!) Always a bright side ;)
Right you are!
