Let the spring and summer camping and outing planning begin! Meramec State Park is a really nice destination for an afternoon, a day, or a whole weekend of camping. Even though it is still pretty cold (in Missouri) for camping you could still enjoy an afternoon at Meramec State Park in March: the have a nice indoor visitor center, a great general store with restaurant and Sheep Cave is always open! Fisher Cave is also in Meramec State Park but closed in the winter. These photos are from our camping trip to Meramec State Park in October 2012. Fisher cave was closed at that time so we definitely plan to go back and check it out this season!
